Wanna get viral pins on Pinterest too?
This post starts a brand new topic on the blog, to help share my tips, tricks, and experience of many years with you all for your own journeys!
This isn’t my first blog/website, so I’ve learned quite a bit of things through the years. But, this is my only blog now, and finally what I feel like is my true calling.
& no matter what your niche is, this information will probably be very helpful.

Viral Pins on Pinterest Made Easy
My top Pin right now is currently sitting at this:
& this was done on my blog Pinterest account that was sitting at around only 250 followers, and this was posted maybe a month or two after reviving the account.
It made me realize that getting content to grow on Pinterest isn’t too hard – especially if you know exactly what to do.
& while I could put this in a course to sell to you, I wish I had free resources when I first started. So I want to give really good beginner resources for free.
I may have additional resources in the future, but for now, all this info is just free! I truly hope it helps.
So, lets talk about my personal method.
My method to make Pins blow up
First things first, Pinterest is all visual.
Its all visual pins, so what you have as the Pin itself, is the most important thing in my opinion.
(Yes, keywords are up there too, but we’ll talk about that next)
So whether it is an image Pin or video Pin, the image needs to grab attention.
Sometimes, just an attracting image is enough, but some words about what exactly the topic is can help too (depending on the vibe of the Pin)
For example, some Pins I make are just outfits, products, etc that are aesthetic and grab attention themselves. I also make some with words too. The Pin with the stats I posted above does have words too about the Pin topic (this in particular is Dark Feminine finds! A very hot topic currently).
While some topics are pretty evergreen, I do recommend doing research to find out what exactly is trending currently in your niche on Pinterest.
I do cruelty free/vegan/positive lifestyle mostly, so I looked for trends that I could put my vibe on, and get in on the attention/traffic from it.
So find the trends you can get in on, and make content around it.
(Especially if you can use trending products as part of it, you have a great chance of getting eyes on your Pins)
Before we move on, an excellent place for finding trends, hot topics, etc is on the PINTEREST TRENDS PAGE and PINTEREST PREDICTS PAGE.
Don’t forget that! Here you can find upcoming trends, and current trends that are gaining traction that you can easily make content for and get in on.
Literally DO NOT sleep on that.
Once you’ve done your research and found your topic ideas, it is time to create your Pin content.
You can make the content of yourself/your products, and/or you can make content just off of products themselves.
A favorite type of Pin I like to make is like this.
Outfit pins, makeup roundups, care products, home items, etc anything that is on Amazon (or other store sites) can be put into a Pin like this.
While Pinterest does have a collage Pin type deal now, I simply use Canva.
While most products have a plain white background, some don’t, or they aren’t high quality. So Canva Pro subscription allows you to remove backgrounds to make your own beautiful collages.

Of course, if you make your own content, especially videos, you can repurpose your Reels, TikToks, etc right on Pinterest. Just upload it as a Pin (I recommend using SnapTik or SnapInsta to remove the watermark).
Repurposing saves SO MUCH TIME and EFFORT.
Even if you make no Pin specific content and only repurpose content, you are already in the game here.
Aesthetic and inspiration is huge on Pinterest, so you will likely do incredibly well.
So next, let’s talk about what to do with your content when posting and after posting to get it going.
During posting, you want to focus on those keywords and hashtags.
TIP: You can find good keywords but looking at other Pins in your topic, and also by “creating an ad campaign” and simply using the keyword tool within to get the keywords (no, you don’t have to actually run the ad, just click out).
Put they keywords you find in the Pin title and description. If you look at my Pins, you can see what I do.
Add good tagged topics as well, and you’re good to go.
While you have a great base here, it is also really great to share the content to communities for even more exposure.
While many people say Pinterest group boards are dead, I absolutely do not agree. I think that any chance for your content to get seen by potentially thousands of new people (that aren’t even your own followers!) is a good enough reason.
Some of the group boards you can join have tons of more followers, and your content has the chance to be seen by all of them.
However, I don’t suggest joining just any group board.
Focus on your niche and everything within.
Ex. food blogs focus on food groups, money/finance with those group boards, and fashion on fashion group boards, etc.
P.S. Are you a vegan food blogger/creator? Join my group board!
While Pinterest group boards are currently best in my opinion, Facebook also has some groups as well to help each other grow.
You can also try Tailwind. Which is a planning tool with communities that you can share content to and also help each other, similar to group boards.
They have been kind of dead lately, but again, it doesn’t hurt to try!
Basically, if you have the aesthetics/vibe or at least know how to get eyes on your content, you will very likely have success on Pinterest as long as you follow the steps to help your content be put in front of people.
I truly hope this helps you as is the informational post I wish I had when I was starting out!
This is exactly how I started getting Pins going viral, and even getting my first affiliate sale within two months of starting!
(More on that coming soon also!)
