Restarting at 29 – Complete Life Change

In the last week of being 29, what better to post than how I completely changed the course of my life – restarting at 29.

(Yeah I’m a few weeks into 30 now, I’m a little late posting with all the bday fun lol)

As someone who did this multiple times through my 20’s I hope this info and tips help you (at any age and stage) if you are wanting to do the same.
Change can be scary, but what is even scarier is staying where you are unhappy and unfulfilled.
You have one life!

& while you may not be exactly where you want to be right away, it is the steps and consistency that will get you there.

My thoughts starting the change

Starting out over a year ago, I was in a very defeated place. My thoughts were everywhere from feeling unfulfilled and unhappy at the end of my 20s, and knowing I had to make a change for the better.
It was time to get serious and focus on myself.

While 30 is still so young, I was not where I wanted to be.
It doesn’t matter your age, you can change the course of your life literally whenever you want.

I had wasted so much time and energy on relationships, hustles that weren’t working, doom scrolling way too much on socials, and spending way too much time on things that didn’t matter that I could cut down on (daily task type things and downsizing in life).

What were my goals starting out

-Morning & night routines
-Bedtime between 10-10:30ish
-Healthy meal prep on weekdays
-Get serious about my goals and dreams, with at least some daily work/progress, content creation esp
-Created this blog/blog Pinterest
-No dating or letting anyone in my space enough to distract me
-Downsize belongings & simplify daily/weekly tasks
-Meditiate, reflect regularly, journal
-Allow adequate relax/hobby time
-Connect even closer with loved ones
-Saving more than spending money & managing better

What I accomplished during the first year

-Routines created & improving regularly
-Bedtime around10:30 usually
-Healthy meal prep & weekend treats
-Dreams in progress and growing fast, esp with content creation/blogging
-Quickly growing my blog/Pinterest!
-Still not dating and happier than ever
-Greatly downsized, organized /simplified my belongings & tasks
-Need to work more on meditating, journaling, and relax/hobby time
-Happily connecting more with loved ones
-Doing much better with money management

It is incredible the progress I’ve made in just one year of extreme focus and improvement in my life.

The winter especially (when the weather sucks anyway) is a great time to really double down and focus.
During the winter I did a ton of decluttering, downsizing, organizing, and perfecting my space, as well as got comfortable meal prepping.

A winter hibernation time where you disappear and just go hard for yourself is something I’ll always recommend.

Then I moved on to things like working on my routines, habits, and going hard with my blog/socials (this one you are reading now!).

Basically I cleared a lot of old clutter and energy to bring in all the new.

That way now, during the warm beautiful months, I can enjoy life much more while also having things a lot more taken care of and built up.
I did all the building of my blog and socials, and now any time I spend is mostly on creating/scheduling content that I make from my heart and can purposefully create.

& I can feel comfortable saying YES to all the positive things I want to do to enjoy life without feeling guilty.
Don’t get me wrong I’m still a hustler, but I definitely learned the beauty of still making time to enjoy the ride.

I will post more as I go with this journey, as it is still in progress. But this past year has been an amazing start!
