This is a favorite of mine that is just as delicious as it is healthy. A go to in my rotation, & I always have the sauce on hand! Its restaurant quality in a bottle. Video & more ideas on my socials! Japanese BBQ Tofu Recipe Ingredients: Firm or extra firm tofu (frozen and thawed at least once, quickly pressed) Just Egg vegan egg sub Broccoli/carrots or veggies of choice Jasmine rice or rice of choice Seasonings (garlic, vegan shake parm, paprika) Breading of choice (I do gluten free but panko is best) Bachans Japanese BBQ Sauce Vegan butter for rice/veggies if wanted As noted above – I usually do this with firm tofu, freeze method first.Cook your rice as you are going through the recipe so its done together, or use what you already have prepped (I cook rice almost daily lol).Once thawed, quickly press, cut into rectangles, and prepare Just Egg the vegan egg substitute in one shallow bowl, and panko or your breadcrumbs of choice on another plate. Also recommend adding seasoning of your choice like garlic, paprika, etc for more flavor!Sometimes I also sprinkle some vegan parmesean in the breadcrumbs as well. It is really good! Dip each tofu piece in the Just Egg, and then into the breadcrumbs.Lightly pan fry in mild flavored oil of choice (I usually use Avocado oil). For the broccoli/carrots I lightly boil until soft, bonus if you do cute shapes. After both sides of the tofu are done, drain on paper towel, and then transfer to your dish. Then top with Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce – the best I’ve ever had! While I drizzle the sauce over the meal, I usually also have a small side dip bowl to dip some more as I go. Its just too good. & that is it! Enjoy – I’m sure you’ll want to make it again and again ♡ with love, Ash (That Veganista) similar postsVegan Loaded HashbrownsVegan & Cruelty Free Spooky Season FavesJack O Lantern Vegan Stuffed Peppers2026 Fashion Spring Summer Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
